A safe place to berth, live and visit
Safety is part of everyday life at Bayswater Marina. Clear rules, well-maintained pontoons and an attentive marina team help keep the marina safe for berth holders, liveaboards, visitors and contractors.
On the pontoons
- Follow the marina rules and staff instructions at all times.
- No swimming, diving or underwater work in the marina, including hull scrubbing.
- Supervise children and keep dogs restrained.
- Keep walkways and fingers clear. Don’t leave gear, hoses or leads where people can trip.
- Return marina trolleys to the jetty entrances after use.
Fuel, power and fire
- Refuel only at the fuel jetty, using the pumps provided. Fuel and other flammable goods can’t be stored in the marina, though small quantities may be carried on board in safe containers.
- Use compliant leads and appliances when you connect to marina power.
- Firefighting equipment is for fires only. Know where your nearest extinguisher is.
- Ask before any work on board. No painting, sanding, welding or grinding without the marina’s consent.
On the water and on site
- Manoeuvre with care so you don’t create a danger or obstacle for other marina users.
- Keep your vessel in good, safe repair, with halyards and lines secured.
- Drive slowly. The speed limit in the marina is 10 kph, and parking restrictions apply.
- Report hazards, spills, damage or injuries to the marina office straight away.
