At Bayswater Marina, safety, respect and responsibility go hand in hand. The marina rules apply at all times to all areas of the marina, and by entering the marina you agree to follow them. These are the key points. The full Rules of Bayswater Marina are on our website and displayed at the marina office.
Using the marina
- Berths and facilities are for recreational use. Commercial vessels need the marina’s prior consent.
- Only use the berth and facilities you’re authorised to use.
- Living aboard is by arrangement with the marina only.
- You’re responsible for your guests and their compliance with the rules.
Looking after the harbour
- Never discharge sewage, rubbish, oil, fuel or other pollutants into the marina. Use the containers and facilities provided.
- No painting, sanding, welding or grinding on board without the marina’s consent.
On the pontoons
- No swimming, diving or hull scrubbing in the marina.
- Keep dogs restrained and supervise children.
- Don’t store gear on walkways, fingers or the foreshore.
- Secure halyards and lines so they don’t make noise, and don’t hang washing on your vessel.
- No alcohol in the marina, except on licensed premises.
- Return trolleys to the jetty entrances after use.
Safety
- Refuel only at the fuel jetty. Don’t bring fuel or flammable goods into the marina, apart from small quantities stored safely on board.
- Keep your vessel in good, safe repair, with compliant power leads and appliances.
- Vehicles must observe parking restrictions and the 10 kph speed limit.
